I was flying to and from a holiday in New York with Virgin Atlantic, in which I had lots of waiting about. Before we had even left England we were sat in the plane for around 30mins, with no explanation of why we were sitting there, without the engines even starting. After take off, we didn't have much waiting around apart from that of the general flight bordom. Although, everyone seemed to get served their meal before us - but maybe you always feel like this when you are sat around on a plane.

When we were approaching New York and all the lights and buildings came into view, we began to circle our scenery. We saw the same things a few times and it took quite a few minutes before we were going in a straight line again. Although this didn't delay our flight by much, we had already been delayed at the London airport, and by this time I was also feeling a bit sick of going round in circles!

The flight home was not much easier, although our transfer was late getting us to the airport, and after queuing for a long time to check in, we were told there were no seats left. The woman finally said that the exit seats had been released, and we were able to sit in these. However, these seats are great for people with longer legs, but made me feel uncomfortable, as I couldn't relax with all the people walking past us. The flight was also delayed by around 15mins, and by the end of the flight we were happy to be back on the ground!!
