Default In-Flight Food

We recently used a low-budget airline to fly to Portugal, and although the staff were lovely and the flight had no problems, the food was awful.

We hadn't had much chance to eat any lunch and our flight was delayed. So by the time we got on the plane we were starving. However, with the little amount of Euros we had left we only affording a small tube of crisps each and a very small soft drink.

Does anyone feel the same about the prices? Would you order your meal on the flight, or is proper airline food nasty?

Default Far too expensive!

I have recently been on flights and found myself in the same situation! I have been starving hungry for many flights, and have been unable to buy any food with the change I had in my pocket.

However, when I flew on a long-haul flight with Virgin, and our meals were included, they were very satisfactory.

We are travelling within Europe this summer, around dinner time, so will plan our time well enough to get food at the airport before we get on the plane.
